Assembly & Test

  • Extensive automation provides greater efficiency and consistency throughout our production process.

  • Cyclic pressing of windings after thermal vacuum treatment helps improve the stability of the windings during operation.

Test methods employed on metallic structures:

  • “Bubble” inspection, where air is supplied under pressure into product cavities, and outer welds are checked by immersion in water or by application of surface-active substances;

  • Luminescent inspection, based on the application of ultra-violet light and a special luminescent compound on welds;

  • Ultrasonic inspection checks critical joints.

Testing throughout Delta/ZTR’s production process verifies the integrity of major components, materials, and assemblies; windings and magnetic circuit assemblies are tested separately.

Before any equipment is allowed to leave our factory, acceptance tests are performed in accordance with ANSI, and IEC standards, based upon individual customer specification.
