(Lynchburg, VA – September 1, 2026) – Delta Star, Inc. (DSI) an industry-leading manufacturer of power transformers and mobile substations, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to join MacLean Power Systems (MPS), creating a unique portfolio to serve the North American utility market in an era of unprecedented demand due to growing power consumption, electrification, aging infrastructure, and evolving power supply. The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Founded in 1908, DSI was formed to manufacture devices required by the electrical industry in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy. DSI’s current portfolio includes power transformers, mobile substations, modular substations, mobile circuit switchers, mobile breakers, and field services.
All of DSI’s transformers are designed and manufactured to customer specifications with manufacturing facilities in Virginia, California, and Quebec.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
